Did anyone go and see the "Longway to the Top"? Broc
and I went on the last night, and the concert was fantastic. All
the girls in the audience were up dancing, though "girls" is
probably the wrong word. We were probably two of the youngest
there! They will be putting out a Dvd and video package before
Christmas and believe me it will be a best seller. |

...........and all was chuffing along nicely until Gavin - my wonderful new bass player - dropped the bombshell that he was going on the "Longway to the Top" tour playing with his old mate Lobby. So the search was on for a replacement. Gav is my old mate, have played with him on and off for a good part of the last 20 years. I rang another friend, Marcia, from the Big "O" Show who put me on to a guy called Noel van Ross. Well this guy is good! He did his first stint with us at the Aspendale/Edithvale RSL last week, and sang quite a few great songs. Looks like he will be with us for a while. We threw him in at the weekend head first, so we might be spending a bit of time in the coming months rehearsing a whole lot of new songs for him to sing in the holiday season. Well, gotta get my money's worth!!!??? |

We played at the Grandview in Fairfield last Saturday night. It was open to all, but a 50th birthday party was on as well as a 21st, for both Sue and Jessica. Proves that a band can play old songs to youngies as well. It was a great time for all, and we are back there on the 1st June. Rock up if you can, they have a bistro out the back with great meals, and also counter meals in the bar where we play. (Smokers welcome). Hope to see you there! |

We played at Watsonia RSL on Saturday night, and I would personally like to thank all of you who have supported us through our rocky beginnings, because Saturday night was THE BEST. The crowd was fantastic, singing along and clapping on cue, and most of all, we were entertained by you! Thanks to Patrick for his wonderful words - he really counts!

Yes, I have news. Roger Treble has been replaced in the band by guitarist Brian O'Connor, and bass player Andy Burns has been replaced by Gavin Carroll, best known by his work with Lobby Lloyd, and otherwise known as "Uncle Gav" to others. You should come and check out the band now - we're cookin'! |
